Claimant EL/PL Fee Earner/Solicitor

We are looking to recruit a talented EL/PL Fee Earner to join their growing and highly reputable company.

EL/PL Fee Earner Key Responsibilities :

  • To manage a caseload of fast track EL/PL cases through all stages of the litigation and investigation process

  • To progress your caseload in such a manner to ensure that all clients receive appropriate, timely and professional legal advice, with regular contact, managing their expectations.

  • To deal with cases with denial of liability with minimal supervision.

  • To be able to assess quantum and liability to include reviewing medical reports, researching and obtaining relevant case law, drafting schedules of special damages and assessing suitable awards for compensation

  • To identify early on those cases where proceedings would be beneficial to litigate.

Essential Skills of the EL/PL Fee Earner

  • At least 18-24 months previous experience of managing your own case-load of Fast Track EL/PL litigated claims.

  • An excellent litigator with strong drafting skills together with the ability to negotiate appropriate settlements

  • A strong working knowledge of the CPR, legislation and relevant case law

  • Competent working with a case management system and excellent knowledge of MS Office Good organisational skills.

  • Knowledge of ProClaim is an advantage

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Plevin (PPI) Case Handler

Job Purpose

  • Must have experience with PPI Administration including knowledge of the Pre Submission and DSAR Processes within a Claims Management Company.

The role of the Plevin PPI Administrator is to drive the progression of our client’s claims from start to finish. This is done through a mixture of Administration functions and liaison with Banks and Credit Providers through various channels including DSAR's .

Key Responsibilities:

To personally provide excellent standards of customer service by:

  • Administration and Call functions

  • Preparing and printing letters and/or emails for Lenders and Customers

  • Answering inbound queries from clients, lenders, and regulatory bodies.

  • Advising clients of the stages of their case and the progression of each individual claim.

  • Preparing files to be packaged for our Legal Partners

  • Opening and Dissecting DSAR's received from Providers

  • Preparing and receiving Pre Submission files to and from Providers and updating the Case Management System accordingly.

  • Dealing with banks and providers to ensure that cases do not 'bottle neck' and that the business is receiving and dealing with all DSAR's in a timely manner.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • A minimum of 12 months experience working as a Legal Cashier in a Solicitors firm

  • Knowledge and understanding of the SAR account rules

  • It would be desirable for the applicant to have experience using Proclaim accounts.

This is a part-time role, starting at one day per week, building up to 3 days per week as we grow.

Part-time hours: 8 per week
