An accident can occur for many different reasons. If the accident was caused by the fault of another employee or because there are unsafe systems of work, we are here to help you.
You can submit a claim for an accident at work if you are full time, part time, self employed, a temporary worker or visiting a place of business.
We will assess your claim and advise you from the start whether we think you will succeed. It will assist your claim greatly if you have reported the accident to your employers and an entry has been made into the accident book. Furthermore, if you have received medical treatment, it is expected that you will have told the medical expert of the reason for the injuries.
If you continue to suffer from your injuries, we will arrange for you to be assessed by a triage nurse over the telephone to see what treatment we can provide for you to help you recover as quickly as possible.
We will then contact your employers insurers to submit a claim. We will then recover for you compensation for pain and suffering along with any out of pocket expenses that you have paid out for medicines or transportation since the accident.
In order for us to assess the value of your claim, we will need have you medically examined by a consultant medical expert who will provide a report as to your symptoms and how they have progressed since the accident. To help you provide a full picture to the medical expert, it will assist if you can keep a diary of how the injuries have affected you on a daily basis, how you have improved and when/if you have made a full recovery.
